Quick answers first. If yours isn't here, email us.
A real person reads every message, usually within a day or two. A screenshot helps. On TestFlight you can also use Send Beta Feedback.
Getting started
How do I pair with my partner?
One of you opens Us → Invite your partner and shares the code (Messenger or Viber work well) or shows the QR. The other scans the QR with the iPhone Camera, or on any phone opens Us → Enter code, then taps Join.
The code lasts 48 hours. If it expires, make a new one.
What happens to my lists when I join my partner?
They come with you. Joining moves your lists and Suki staples into your shared space, so nothing is lost.
I didn't get the sign-in code.
Check your spam or Promotions folder, and that the email address is spelled right. Wait a minute, then tap Use a different email, check the address, and tap Send code. Still nothing? Email us from that address.
Can I use Bayong on my own?
Yes. Everything works with one person. Invite your partner whenever you're ready.
Is there an Android version?
Yes, as a beta. Scan the Android code on the home page and install the app from the page that opens. Your phone may ask you to allow installing apps from your browser. Share to Bayong is iPhone only for now.
Using lists
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Add and check off items anywhere. Your changes are saved on your phone and sync when you're back online.
An item went into the wrong aisle.
Tap the item and choose the right aisle. On a shared list, Bayong remembers it, so the next time either of you adds it, it goes to that aisle.
Can I keep a list just for me?
Yes. Make the list Private. Your partner's phone never receives it, not even its name.
How do I share a list with our kasambahay?
Open a shopping list and tap Ipabili. Choose how long the link works (3 hours, 24 hours or 3 days) and send it. They open it in their phone's browser, no app or account needed, type their name, and check off what they bought.
You can stop a link any time from the same screen. Private lists and private items are never shown.
I deleted something by mistake.
Go to Profile → Recently deleted and tap Restore. Items stay there for 30 days.
Alerts
When will Bayong notify me?
When your partner adds items (one alert after they're done adding, at most three a day), when they tap Remind, and for reminders you set yourself, like Grocery day or a to-do that's due. Bayong may also ask about something you usually buy that isn't on the list ("Do you still have toyo?"), at most every 3 days. That one is on by default; its switch is Running-low reminders.
Alerts from your partner wait until your morning (a Remind arrives silently). Reminders you set go off at the time you chose. Each kind has its own switch.
How do I turn alerts off?
Profile → Notifications has a switch for each kind of alert. You can also turn them all off in your phone's Settings, under Bayong's notifications.
My partner's items aren't reaching my phone.
Make sure you're both online and paired (both of you show on the Us tab). Bring Bayong to the front on both phones. If it still doesn't match, email us a screenshot from each phone.
Your account
How do I unpair?
Open Us and tap Unpair from your partner's name. Your partner keeps the shared lists and staples; your private lists go with you. You can pair again any time.
How do I delete my account?
Email hello@bayong.app from the address you sign in with and say you'd like your account deleted. We'll delete your account and your data within 30 days and tell you when it's done.
What do you do with my data?
Your lists are seen only by you and your partner, with no ads and no tracking. The details are in our privacy policy.
